Through High Grass & Mermaids, the hope is to give freedom to the inner child of anyone who feels neglected and offer an African American perspective separate from the media perpetuated stereotypes.
Black men are not all thugs, criminals, or delinquents (although they too deserve love); We too enjoy lazing in the carefree summer sun making characters of the clouds above. Though we may face many harsh realities sooner than our counterparts of other racial backgrounds, the inner child still longs for joy, love and freedom of self.”
